Mumbai-based hotels and restaurants have come up with their own new online application called Waayu Food Delivery App, which promises to offer 15 to 20 percent cheaper rates than already exciting food aggregators.
This food delivery application is a product of Destek HORECA, which was founded by tech entrepreneurs, Anirudha Kotgire and Mandar Lande. The online SAAS (software as a service) food delivery platform is affiliated with the Mumbai-based Indian Hotel and Restaurant Association (AHAR) and other prominent industrial organizations.
The database of the Waayu food delivery app connects customers with more than 1,000 Mumbai restaurants, including Ladu Samrat, Guru Kripa, Kirti Mahal, Persian Darbar, Bhagat Tarachand, Mahesh Lunch Home, Banana Leaf, and Shiv Sagar.
The Waayu food delivery application apparently doesn’t charge any commission fee from restaurants, prompting them to offer better services and value addition to customers. Besides, the online platform’s main endeavor is to provide customers with food that is not only affordable but also supremely hygienic and timely.

The actor and hotelier Suniel Shetty is the brand face of this new food delivery platform. Shetty went on to say that the current startup ecosystem is going through a difficult time and acknowledges the importance of lean teams and positive cash flow.
The actor also said that he no longer wants to invest in unicorns, but instead wants to back great founders and ideas with good management. According to the founders of the Waayu food delivery application, Anirudha Kotgire and Mandar Lande:
“WAAYU app will transform the online food delivery industry by embracing a commission-free model. We have 16 revenue streams, but not all will kick in from the beginning. We will have a fixed fee deal with the restaurants at an introductory price of 1,000 per month per outlet. Later, it will be increased to 2,000 a month. There is no per-order commission”
