Ray Stevenson, a Northern Irish actor most known for his roles as Volstagg in the Thor movie, the evil British governor in RRR, and Ahsoka in the future Star Wars series, has passed away at the age of 58.

An Oscar-award-winning movie actor, Ray Stevenson, died on Sunday in Italy at the age of 58, following sources.

His agents at Independent Talent confirmed the information, according to Deadline.

However, we are still awaiting more information regarding the actor’s passing.

The news of Ray Stevenson death is one of the most expected news for the entire world recently.

In fact, Team RRR remarked on their official Twitter account as they conveyed the information.

Early Life of Ray Stevenson-

To let you know, Stevenson was born in Northern Ireland, but when he was eight years old, his family relocated to England.

So, when he was born in 1964, his father was serving with the Royal Air Force (RAF) in a location close to Lisburn, County Antrim.

His family also moved to Newcastle upon Tyne, and he spent a large portion of his early years there.

Ray Stevenson Career & Profession-

Well, Stevenson was motivated to pursue acting after seeing John Malkovich perform in a play at a London West End theatre.

One of his earliest TV jobs was in the Catherine Cookson drama The Dwelling Place, which he performed while attending the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School to study acting.

Later, he made numerous TV appearances in British productions, such as Waking the Dead, Dalziel and Pascoe, and At Home with the Braithwaites.

In addition, he was well-known for playing the parts of Othere in Vikings and Volstagg in the Marvel superhero film Thor.

He has also lent his voice to the animated Star Wars series The Clone Wars and Rebels as Gar Saxon.

And he was slated to work alongside Rosario Dawson as well in the upcoming Mandalorian spinoff Ashoka from Disney.

He was developing the action film Cassino in Ischia when he passed away.

Four days prior to his 59th birthday, word of his passing was released to the public.  It’s unfortunate, to say the least.
