TIME magazine has recently released its 2023 list of the 100 most influential people, and guess who’s on it: Shah Rukh Khan and S.S. Rajamouli. We could not be any more proud of both legends for the extraordinary work they have been doing in the Indian entertainment space.
Another amazing thing about the mention of both legends on Time’s 100 was that Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt personally penned down the notes for the actor and the director. DP wrote for SRK, while Alia was selected to describe the essence of the one and only S.S. Rajamouli.
What Did Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt Say About SRK and S.S. Rajamouli on Time’s 100?
Deepika Padukone made her Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shanti Om in 2007. Since then, we have seen the duo work together in many successful ventures, be it Chennai Express, Happy New Year, or recently one of the most commercial Indian films, Pathaan.
The latest release of Deepika and Shah Rukh, Pathaan, proved to be one of the most successful outings of both actors on the big screen. The film was SRK’s big release after four years and went on to smash many records and earn more than a whopping 1000 crores worldwide. Over the years, the Pike actress and Don 2 lead have self-admittedly become very good friends and close to each other as colleagues.

Shah Rukh Khan will forever be known as one of the greatest actors of all time. But what truly sets him apart is his mind, his chivalry, and his generosity. The list goes on …”
According to Deepika, it won’t be fair to describe the legend in just a few words. SRK is definitely worthy of all the appreciation and love he has been receiving for more than 25 years now. Fans love him for not only his movies but also for his demeanor and charismatic personality. The Devdas actor has some big releases lined up this year, like Jawaan and Dunki.
Alia Bhatt’s TIME note for S.S. Rajamouli
S.S. Rajamouli needs no introduction, as his legendary work is enough to do all the talking. In fact, the man has always single-handedly gotten credit for putting South Indian cinema on the global map and giving it its long due.
Alia Bhatt appeared in a cameo in the Bahubali director’s worldwide successful film RRR and has always spoken highly of the director and how she wants to collaborate with him again and again. She penned a lovely note for the legendary filmmaker, which reads like this:
“The first time I met S.S. Rajamouli was at the preview of Baahubali 2. We were all extremely starstruck. And even while I was watching the movie, I was like, Oh my God, what a dream it would be to work with this director. Lo and behold, the dream came true. He knows the audience he’s serving. He knows what beats to hit, and what turns to take. I call him the master storyteller because he genuinely loves the flair and abandon of stories. And he brings us together.”
