So, this season, Iam Tongi, Megan Danielle, and Colin Stough were the three top finalists of American Idol’s 21st season.
Who Became The American Idol Season 21 Winner?
In an emotional season finale on Sunday, an 18-year-old high school student from Kahuku, Hawaii, was named “American Idol” champion.
You must have guessed it by now. Yes, Iam Tongi won the crown of the American Idol Season 21.
Well, many viewers were moved by Tongi’s painful account of losing his father, Rodney, over the season.
When performing a duet of “Monsters” with singer James Blunt at the finale, Tongi started crying.
The younger performer brushed away his tears as he and Blunt sang, “I’m not your son, and you’re not my father/ We’re just two grown men saying goodbye.”

Pitbull, Lil Jon, TLC, and Lucy Love were among the other performers during the three-hour finale along with Idol judge Luke Bryan.
The remaining judges on the panel were Lionel Richie and Katy Perry.

Also, after being crowned the winner, he gave a performance of “Don’t Let Go” by Spawnbreezie as the confetti fell and other contestants of the show came to congratulate him too.
