1. The Ticketmaster Debacle-
Taylor Swift announced her highly anticipated Eras tour last year and that the tour is now open for pre-booking and presales on Ticketmaster.
However, during the East Coast presale, many Swift fans waited in queue on Ticketmaster for hours to purchase tickets.
To meet the demand, the ticket-selling website stopped the Central Standard Timelines, postponed the West Coast hours, and moved the Capital One presale to Wednesday.
And this created a huge ruckus, with fans calling out Swift company for mismanaging the ticket’s presales. This is one of the biggest Taylor Swift controversies that happened last year.
However, later, The Blank Space singer broke her silence and acknowledged the situation, and wrote a long note for her fans-
“We’ve been doing this for decades together and over the years, I’ve brought so many elements of my career in-house. I’ve done this SPECIFICALLY to improve the quality of my fans’ experience by doing it myself with my team who care as much about my fans as I do. It’s really difficult for me to trust an outside entity with these relationships and loyalties, and excruciating for me to just watch mistakes happen with no recourse.
There are a multitude of reasons why people had such a hard time trying to get tickets and I’m trying to figure out how this situation can be improved moving forward. I’m not going to make excuses for anyone because we asked them, multiple times if they could handle this kind of demand and we were assured they could. It’s truly amazing that 2.4 million people got tickets, but it really pisses me off that a lot of them feel like they went through several bear attacks to get them.
And to those who didn’t get tickets, all I can say is that my hope is to provide more opportunities for us to all get together and sing these songs. Thank you for wanting to be there. You have no idea how much that means.”
2. The Kanye West Feud-
If you have been a Siwftey since the very start of Taylor Swift’s career, then you must be aware of the famous Kanye West Feud.
Kanye West interrupted Taylor Swift’s speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, and that’s when the whole tension between the two began.
When Kayne out of the blue stormed the stage to announce that Beyoncé genuinely ought to have won the prize, Taylor was literally on stage winning the award for Best Female Video.
Many people criticized the gesture of the West at the time. Even Beyoncé apparently didn’t like it and called back Swift on stage later.

Following Taylor Swift’s claims, a video released by Kardashian, ex-wife of Kanye West, on Snapchat, showing that the rapper asked for permission from Swift, and she agreed with the lyrics at the time.
The video brought a lot of trolling and hate for Swift. She was called many names, especially a “snake” by fans for allegedly lying about never having agreed to West’s idea.
However, the entire phone exchange was circulated on social media four years later.
Is it going to be mean, then? Swift queries when West makes the lyric proposal. The rapper continues, “Taylor Swift might owe me sex,” to which Swift responds, “That’s not mean,” and chuckles.
Eventually, fans believed that Taylor Swift was speaking the truth from very early on.
The “Style” singer said in her Miss Americana documentary that she was “tired” of the turmoil and just wanted to concentrate on her music.
3. Private Jet Misuse-
In case you don’t know, Swift was one of many celebrities who were criticized in the summer of 2022 for using private jets, which can increase CO2 emissions and hurt the environment.
The Miss Americana was identified as the top offender in a study by the marketing agency Yard, which said that her “shortest recorded flight of 2022 was just 36 minutes, flying from Missouri to Nashville.”
According to Yard, a sustainability marketing firm that takes pleasure in its “cutting-edge data and analysis,” she was accused of polluting the planet by traveling in her private jet 170 times between January 1 and July 29.
Following a study done by Yard, Swift logged more than 22,000 minutes in the air, or the equivalent of 16 days, making her the celebrity with the worst private jet CO2 emissions.
However, Taylor’s jet, according to a Swift spokeswoman, is frequently lent to other people. It is patently false to ascribe the majority or all of these travels to her, claims TMZ.
4. Taylor Swift and Scooter Braun Beef-

They had agreed that. However, they made a condition that she will own masters of all her songs without the ones she had done with Borchetta.

However, when in June 2019, Scooter Braun bought Big Machine Records for $300 million, which includes the first six Taylor Swift albums’ masters.
Taylor later said that Scooter Braun had tormented and deceived her for years, notably through the publication of the song Famous by his client Kanye West.
Swift then also revealed on Good Morning America in August 2019 that she now will be re-recording her albums since her contract would permit her to do so starting in 2020.
5. Being Vocal About Politics-
One of the biggest Taylor Swift controversies came around the 2018 midterm elections when after years of being silent on the political front, Swift came open strongly about her political and voting preferences.
The singer attacked Republican Senate candidate Marsha Blackburn while expressing her support for the Tennessee Democrats in an Instagram post.

Swift said that the congresswoman, Marsha Blackburn, “voted against equal pay for women and voted against the Reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act, which attempts to protect women from domestic violence, stalking, and date rape. She believes businesses have a right to refuse service to gay couples. She also believes they should not have the right to marry.”
“As much as I have in the past and would like to continue voting for women in office, I cannot support Marsha Blackburn. Her voting record in Congress appalls and terrifies me,” she further expanded her statement.
