In the viral video, you can see the Dalai Lama kissing the boy’s lips and asking him to suck his teeth. Then, while holding the boy’s hand, the Dalai Lama motions to his lips and says “I think here, too,”, and kisses the boy on the lips.

Dalai Lama Apologises To Boy, His Family After Row Over Viral Video
The incident seems to have occurred on February 28 at the Dalai Lama’s temple in Dharamshala. The M3M Foundation, the charitable arm of real estate firm M3M Group, had organized a skills training program for about 120 children, and the boy in the video might be one of the students.
Apology By The Official Team:
The official team of the Dalai Lama has issued many apologies since the video started taking the internet by storm.
“His Holiness often teases people he meets in an innocent and playful way, even in public and before cameras. He regrets the incident,” his office said. To let you know, sticking one’s tongue out is apparently a form of greeting in Tibet.
During an uprising against Chinese control in Tibet in 1959, the Dalai Lama fled the country and has been living in exile in India ever since. After the spiritual leader told the BBC in an interview that any future female Dalai Lama should be “beautiful,” the Dalai Lama’s administration issued an apology in 2019.
