Mass Shooting Suspect kills 10 people near Lunar New Year Festival in California

Mass Shooting Suspect California: Following a Lunar New Year celebration, a shooter opened fire at a ballroom dance club in the Los Angeles region, killing 10 people and injuring 10, and starting a manhunt for the perpetrator in the country’s fifth mass murder this month.

The injured were brought to hospitals and, according to Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department Capt. Andrew Meyer, their situations range from stable to serious. He claimed that 10 persons passed away at the site in Monterey Park.

Officers arrived to the scene around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, according to Meyer, and individuals were “pouring out of the facility screaming.” He claimed that as firefighters attended to the injured, cops entered the ballroom and discovered victims.

Meyer did not provide details regarding the male Mass Shooting Suspect California, the weapon he was carrying, or the reason police withheld information about the incident for several hours while the shooter reportedly remained on the run. He added that authorities were looking into a separate occurrence in the nearby city of Alhambra, where the Lai Lai Ballroom, a similar establishment, had police tape covering its entrance and a guarding officer.

Near the open back door, where a lady in gloves was meticulously inspecting the door handle as if looking for prints, detectives could be seen working. Officials provided no information regarding what had occurred, and it was not obvious if this was the incident that police were looking into to determine whether there was a connection to the shooting in Monterey Park.

According to Meyer, it is still too early in the inquiry to determine whether the shooter was motivated by hate or if he knew anyone at the ballroom.

We’ll examine all possibilities, Meyer said.

The incident took place in the centre of Monterey Park, where the streets were decked with red lanterns for the Lunar New Year celebrations.

Happy Year of the Rabbit! was written on a sizable banner that was positioned close to a police cruiser.

One of California’s biggest Lunar New Year celebrations, Monterey Park’s event drew tens of thousands of people all day long. The majority of the 60,000 or so inhabitants of Monterey Park, a city on the eastern outskirts of Los Angeles, are Asian immigrants from China or first-generation Asian Americans.

An estimated 100,000 individuals had previously attended the two days of activities, which were planned. However, in response to the shooting, authorities called off Sunday’s activities.
