An ongoing outbreak of monkeypox, a viral disease, was confirmed in May 2022

Monkeypox is a zoonotic viral disease, an infectious disease transmitted to humans by animals. The Monkeypox virus belongs to the Orthopoxvirus genus.

Monkeypox Causes

It causes flu-like symptoms such as fever and chills, and a rash that can take weeks to clear.

There's no proven treatment for monkeypox, but it usually goes away on its own

Early Signs - Fever, Chills, Headache, Muscle Aches, Fatique, Swollen Lymph Nodes etc.

Monkeypox Cure

There are no treatments specifically for monkeypox virus infections. However, monkeypox and smallpox viruses are treated via vaccines

Does Monkeypox Cause Death?

The less severe West African clade is causing the current world outbreak (2022). No one has died from this outbreak to date. But, monkeypox can lead to other problems

The initial cluster of cases was found in the United Kingdom. Mpox virus (MPV, MPXV, or hMPXV), also called monkeypox virus.

What happens when you get monkeypox?

A rash that can look like pimples or blisters that appears on the face, inside the mouth, and on other parts of the body

the first case was detected in London on 6 May 2022 in a patient with a recent travel history from Nigeria

What countries have monkeypox?

In addition, so far this year, almost 1,500 suspected cases of monkeypox and around 70 deaths have been reported in Central Africa
